Questions we get asked
How long does a website take?
A simple site is usually live in 7–10 days. A full business site runs 2–4 weeks, and stores take 4–6. The biggest variable is how quickly content and photos come back to us — we'll tell you exactly what we need on day one.
What do you need from me to start?
Your logo if you have one, any photos you want used, and a rough idea of the pages you need. If you don't have copy written, that's fine — we draft it and you edit. If you don't have a logo, we can design one.
Do I own the website?
Completely. The domain is registered in your name, the code and design are yours on final payment, and you can move to another provider at any time. We don't hold anything hostage.
Can I edit the site myself?
Yes. Sites that need frequent changes are built on a CMS so you can edit text, images and blog posts without touching code. You get a recorded walkthrough of your own site at handover.
Do I have to take a care plan?
No — you can take the site and host it wherever you like. Most clients stay on a plan because hosting, security updates, backups, monitoring and monthly content edits bundled from $200 works out cheaper than paying for those separately and calling someone hourly when something breaks. There are three tiers so a brochure site isn't subsidising a busy store. Plans are month-to-month and you can stop any time.
What about hosting and the domain?
We can set both up and bill them through a care plan, or point everything at accounts you own and hand you the keys. Either way we handle the technical setup, SSL and email records.
What if I already have a website?
We rebuild existing sites all the time. Content gets migrated, old URLs get redirected to the new ones so you keep your search rankings, and the switch-over happens with no downtime.
How does payment work?
50% to book the project and start design, 50% on launch. Larger builds can be split into monthly instalments. Everything is fixed-price from the proposal — no hourly surprises.
